In April Cellbond celebrated 30 years of innovation with a two-day Technical Conference in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
The event was attended by customers, suppliers and partners from the global Automotive Passive Safety Testing sector and took place in one of the company’s sites in Huntingdon, which was transformed over a week into a temporary conference venue complete with stage and sound system.
The programme included keynote speeches from industry leaders in automotive safety talking about the future of the sector, as well as key projects. Speakers included: Michiel van Ratingen, Secretary General, Euro NCAP. Thomas Kinsky, Senior Expert Product Regulations Passive Safety, Opel Automobile. Atsuhiro Konosu, Manager and Senior Researcher Crash Safety Research, Japan Automobile Research Institute (JARI). David Hynd, Head of Biomechanics and Injury Prevention Group, TRL. Saeed Barbat, Executive Technical Leader for Safety, Ford Motor Company. Costandinos Visvikis, Manager Industrial Relations Child Safety, Cybex. Steve Moss, Director – ATD Systems, DTS Michigan and Paul Lemmen, ATD Business Development Manager, Cellbond.
Visitors also had the chance to tour the factories and engineering facilities, visit exhibition stands and see demonstrations of the company’s unique capabilities. We were able to show our commitment to customer service, innovation and product development, and staff from every team were involved.
A highlight of the event was the official opening of Cellbond’s new Impact Sled Test which was run as a demonstration for our guests, after Michiel van Ratingen, General Secretary of Euro NCAP, declared it open by cutting the ribbon with Cellbond’s Founder and Chairman, Dr Mike Ashmead.
Many thanks to everyone who attended the event. We hope you found it interesting and informative.
