The Flex-PLI is the second-generation of legform impactors. Compared to the original TRL Pedestrian Legform, key updates include an advanced knee design and instrumented deformable bones. This allows for assessment of tibia injuries and better assessment of knee injuries. Flex-PLI has replaced the TRL Pedestrian Legform in most regulations world-wide. For the consumer rating programs the third-generation impactor, called aPLI, is now used by almost all NCAPs world-wide.
Cellbond offers the Flex-PLI with various on-board data acquisition solutions.
